Button Bouquet

This weekend, I got word that one of my very dearest friends is in the hospital. Unfortunately, she's unable to receive live flowers in the section of the hospital that she is in. But, I still want to give her something pretty to look at. I got to thinking about it and I thought that a little button bouquet might be just the solution.

If you want to try it for yourself, just grab some buttons & wire and have at it.

Simply stack as many buttons as you'd like on top of each other, string the wire through them and tightly twist underneath to secure it. For a few of them, I used a piece of coordinating ribbon as a petal and put a small button on the underside to keep it in place before twisting the wire.

Arrange the flowers to your liking and twist some wire around the bunch.
I just used one of the longer stems.

You can tie a bow around the wire to hide it and let it be.
Or...

You can twist the stems together and wrap ribbon around them for a cute, finished look.
They're not real, but I hope they do the trick.

Might I suggest that you wrap the bare wire with florist tape prior to wrapping it with the ribbon. This is a cute idea!

Hi Jen~
I came here because of a blog that directed me to Kind Over Matter and then I saw this bouquet and came here...you know how that works. I love these little button bouquets and I appreciate the tutorial. When I started to read the rest of your blog I discovered that there's too much to devour in one sitting...I will just have to follow you and be notified when you have a new post. I'm definately trying that Pizza Cassarole-looks great! Thanks
Joyce

They are just about the prettiest darn flowers I've ever received. And I don't have to water them. Thanks <3
